This small little off the beaten path diner is family owned and operated. The seafood was fresh and tasty. Really enjoyed our meals.

Ive been there twice now. Its nice to have a place that serves frog legs and gator burgers but I went for breakfast and ordered eggs and toast with bacon and coffee and I was charged $10. Call me cheap but I think it was too high and I didn't even get a refill on my coffee. The waitress just disappeared. I didn't feel very welcome there either. Got bad vibes. Maybe because i havent lived here 50+ years? I pass by all the time and I never know when they're open either. Seems to have weird hours.

Locals favorite. Open 7a - 3p. I've yet to eat lunch here, but Lobster was recently on their menu! Breakfast is homemade-to-order, and food portions are more than adequate... I've had leftovers both times I've eaten here. Coffee hot and tea can be iced, sweet or unsweetened... just make sure you let the server know how much ice or you'll get more ice than tea or soda. Biscuits are really good! Only bad thing about the Gold Skillet is the wait time from when you walk in the door to when you get to order and then the wait until you get your food. But I will return because the biscuits, meat are so darn good, and the Chef knows how to cook an egg 'over easy' ;)

7 butterflied shrimp we're excellent, fries decent but substituting canned pineapple chunks for slaw less than acceptable. Decent slaw would have made it a 4+. Give it a try; they might have slaw.

Better stop here if you want some good cooking. I had a Reuben here a few years ago for the first time and no one else has a better one. Anything you order is very good and fresh.

Fantastic little mom and pop place in Ft. McCoy. Delicious made from scratch food including biscuits and gravy, burgers and perfectly fried seafood. Prices are very reasonable. Give them a try!

Had a great homestyle breakfast here. Everything perfect. Friendly service, too!

I was in Ft McCoy and looking for a place to eat. Someone suggested checking this place out which turned out to be a good choice. I got a jalapeno and swiss cheese burger with fries. The burger was good and cooked well done, they didn't ask how I wanted it but I did say no tomatoes and they remembered. The fries were a little burnt but still decent. A nice little restaurant to stop by if you're in the area.

Been there a few times. Some great people run this place. The food is very yummy for the tummy. It's a great place to go if u want to loosen up your bowels . Great hookup place as well. So u can knock out two birds with one stone. Fill your belly and get laid. But I must say I did get crabs one time. But all in all its all good.

The food is all made from scratch, and it is absolutely off the chain. Larry is the man when it comes to cooking everything to perfection. They're open 6-2 7 days a week. My personal favorite is the house specialty. Country ham with the most flavor I've ever had! EVERYONE MUST GO TO THIS PLACE, THE BREAKFAST IS PHENOMENAL, AND LUNCH IS JUST AS GREAT!

Wonderful little restaurant in the middle of nowhere with the best food. I will definitely be back. We headed there for breakfast after visiting the north end of the Ocala Forest and I was stuffed with pancakes and bacon when we left. I couldn't stop eating them they were soooo good.

Went for breakfast. They offer a buffet, but we ordered off the menu. The service was quick, portions were good size and food was tasty.

Good food especially the fish! They could use more help (servers) and I was disappointed I couldn't substitute fries for a vegetable. It's only available as a side and to me it's a waste of food for someone who doesn't want fries. I didn't eat them so they were just thrown away. Also, I was told I couldn't drink my water that I brought in. I had to order water there. Strange. Good food though.
